Hello everyone
As some of you know I LOVE pink, glitter, fairies and cupcakes. So for me to create something pink and glittery that i can eat - well WOW ! So here we are i've created a layout showing some fabby tasty strawberry cupcakes. I have been creating a lot of digi layouts recently to to actually get back to basics and do a manual layout was a refreshing change and challenge. I miss it.
I have a tendancy to not mix my cake mixture enough to get sufficient air in it so ive made this layout to remember - Hope you like it
I then cut the apron in one paper and using the shadow i cut another, mounting them together. Next i cut the bowl and again using the shadow another different coloured layer and using the other layering techniques i cut the inside of the bowl and the spoon handle. I coloured the bowl's insides with pink ink and the spoon with lilac ink. All these pieces were mounted together using pinflair glue.
I took the backing paper and smaller sizes of paper and laid them out how i wanted and attached them with finger lift tape. I then edged it all in pinflair flexi bend peel offs. Next i printed the photo and matted and layered it so it looks like a framed picture. I then added the elements to the layout to make it all come together.
I created the title by using the rainbow shimmer mirror board and cutting out the mix thoroughly merged words and set it inside an oval. Then using the pink card stock created a backing matt oval to mount it on.
Card candy and embellishments added for effect as finishing touches.
I have used the following products to create it:
Cricut cart - From my kitchen
Dovecraft - piece of cake embellishments
Craft work cards - card candy
HOTP and K&CO backing papers
Pinflair - flexi bend peel offs and pinflair glue.
Create & Craft - rainbow shimmer mirror board.
Papeterie papermill - pink backing card
Papermania - pink and lilac ink
I LOVE It and i hope you like it too.
I am also using this piece as my UNIT 6 entry for the papercrafting qualification that i am currently undergoing - i have already "passed with credit" units 1,2,3 & 4 and have paid the extra to sit unit 6.
The qualification is 2 mandatory units which are units 1 and 2 then 2 optional units 3,4,5 or 6.
Congrats Gill on doing so well on your qualification, this is a beautiful layout!
