SCGBM - ALL ABOUT ME GROUP - NOVEMBER POSTING

Hello all

today sees a new challenge set at SCBGM for the All About Me Book group - this is a group i have set up who are going to be creating a scrapbook throughout the challenge.

This is our second posting and for the month of November we have a sketch challenge to follow

Here is the sketch layout idea that i would like you all to use for your page 2 - it would also be good to see some buttons used on your project.

Here is my page 2 for my book based on the sketch layout and buttons challenge for the month of November.

Hope you like what i have created. This is me at about the age of 4 in the flat that my mum and dad first bought together when they got married showing me all wrapped up in bed with all my cuddly toys - nothing much changes as 30+ years on and my bed is still dressed each day with toys and cushions but these days it also has 2 black cats in there too !!

Now its over to the group to link up their page 2 for this November challenge - as per Mr Linky below.

please note this linky is only for the group members to link up their projects but if you are interested in joining our group then please send me an email from the ME tab above or a PM on facebook

It's all about CATTITUDE blog hop 28 29 Oct 2011 - day two

Good morning everyone and welcome to the Its All About Cattitude blog hop day two hosted  by Barbara.

If you have arrived here from Jamie's blog then your on the right track to carry on but if youve come across my blog from bloggerland and wish to hop along then please start back HERE.

This blog hop  is all about cats, cat awareness and National Cat Day so are my day two projects on the cats in my life.

My first layout today is of the other black four legged furry friend who shares my life - yesterday was about Gypsy so today its Lucky's turn. Lucky arrived in our garden about 5 years ago and was there every day morning, noon and night. We assumed he was lost as maybe new to the neighbourhood. We tried all we could to find his owners and eventually did. They lived 3 streets behind us. We took him home daily but he always returned. Some days it was so cold and wet that we felt so sorry for him so took him in and Jim spent the night with him on a sleeping bag. Then one night a knock at the door found his owner looking for him. He wasnt with us that time but the owner said well if he does turn up again, keep him or dump him as hes no longer welcome. OMG you can image my disgust so what  else could we do ... we cant imagine life without lucky now as he has well and truly made him self part of our family.

The next layout is of my mum and dads new cat Bobby. Aint he a cutie! Bobby is a rescue cat that mum and dad got from the SSPCA - that stands for Scottish Society for Protection and Cruetly to Animals  - its the scottish version of the RSPCA. Both myself, Jim plus my mum and dad regularly donate to this worthwhile cause as they have a cat & dog re housing program and need all the money they can get - hence them wishing to adopt a cat and now Bobby shares our lives. I also donate cards regularly to them to raise funds. The World Cardmaking day blog hop i held lately, i dontated 100 cards. Now on to what Bobby looks like.

My next project is a simple pussy cat card that i had created for a neighbours birthday earlier this year.

My last project for today  is a cat stamped candle.  I have used a penny black cat stamp which i stamped onto tissue paper and coloured with copic markers. Cut it out neat to the edge of the stamp and then sat it on the candle which heating it with the heat gun to melt the tissue into the candle.

Well i hope you like my projects for today and yesterday and can leave me some comments as i love to read what you think of my creations.  Barbara has fabby blog candy on offer so be sure to hop to all the blogs in the line up and leave comments to be eligible to win.

The next stop on this hop is HERE   - Thanks for hopping

It's all about CATTITUDE blog hop 28 29 Oct 2011

Good morning everyone and welcome to the Its All About Cattitude blog hop hosted  by Barbara.

If you have arrived here from Jamies blog  then your on the right track to carry on but if youve come across my blog from bloggerland and wish to hop along then please start back HERE.

This blog hop  is all about cats, cat awareness and National Cat day so heres some projects on the cats in my life.

This is GYPSY one of my four legged  black furry friends that shares my life - this SB LO has been featured in some magazines and has won me some competitions - i love it lots and am thinking of putting it in a frame.
Gypsy is a rescue cat that Jim and I got over 11 years ago - when we first moved in together we decided we wanted a cat and trawled all the usual places and managed to find this little bundle of fun at just under 1 year old - now shes turned into a little monster but we love her dearly !

This next LO is of a poor puss cat called Pumpkin who used to visit my mum and dads garden. Poor pumpkin was very violently treated by thugs 2 years ago and was left bearly alive. After his ordeal and many operations the wee thing fought on and survived. However it was not meant to be as about 6 months after his horrendous time he was sadly run over by a car on the road between his and my mums house. This poor puss had such a tragic short life but he did brighten up everyones days when he popped over for his daily visits to my mums house. Although he wasnt a family cat he was loved and is sadly missed. He is now over rainbow bridge and im sure playing and dancing with other fluffy creatures. :-(
This layout shows him in my mum and dads birdhouse pretending he can fly!!

This is a card i created with a lovely kitten and sentiment verse from Barbara Gray, embossed with WOW platinum powders. The flowers also covered in wow powders - triple embossed then punched.

My last project is a papermache cat that i have covered in purple leopard print decopatch papers and then glazed. I have added a little purple bow around his neck to top it off. This now proudly sits in the computer room at my mum and dads house

I hope you like my creations for todays hop - id appreciate if you left me a comment as i love to know what you think. Barbara is offering  fabby blog candy  for this hop so please make sure you hop along to all the blogs and leave your comments to be eligible.

Thanks for hopping with me today and  your next hop stop is HERE - hope to see you again tomorrow.

Now here are my project layouts for this hop - hope you like them. I have used Serif Scrapbook Digital Platinum Artist. I used the  basic layouts and added the material or paper layers, embellishments and frames. I would love to experiement with the other tools like the punches etc so hopefully one day you will see some different goings on with my SB layouts - i am hoping to pick up some hints and tips along the way on this hop.

I have chosen to create layouts of the cats in my life - this one is Gypsy.

Then here is lucky

This third one is my mum and dads cat Bobby

Well thats all from me today, now hop on over to Lynne for another digital project.

Thanks for hopping and hope you enjoy and gain some inspiration from all our projects and will give digi scrappin a go.
